The said amendment if carried out will be the second time the State will be amending their charge sheet in the “Menzgold Saga”. When the case was first filed in the Court, seven charges were preferred against NAM1 and Menzgold Ghana Limited.

Subsequently, the State added six more charges to their amended charge sheet bring the charges to thirteen (13) against five accused persons namely Menzgold Ghana Limited, Brew Marketing Consult Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) & two others.

According to sources at the Court and within the Police Service, the latest amendment is likely to see the charges increasing to about sixty (60).

In granting the request of Police Prosecutors, Judge Malike Wanya Day’s Court adjourned sitting to the 23rd of October 2019, to allow ample time for the State to so amend its charges against the embattled businessman NAM1 and the four other persons standing trial with him for defrauding about eleven thousand (11, 000) former customers of now-defunct Menzgold Ghana Limited.
