Bono East: Military officer shot dead by suspected armed robbers

An officer of the Ghana Armed Forces has been murdered by suspected armed robbers Friday night.

Leading Seaman Odai Job Kwame, 41, a native of Yeji, sustained gunshot wounds during a robbery operation on the Prang-Abease road in the Bono East Region ata

The victim, an officer of 3BN in Sunyani sustained gunshot wounds on his right chest when the police inspected his body.

A military ID card, a travelling passport, voters ID card, Ghana Card, a pair of military uniform, body armor, whistle, two Samsung mobile devices and a military bag were found scattered at the scene.

The police also found a Magazine loaded with three live ammunition, 1 top military uniform, jacket, a pair of black boots and other clothes during a search in his vehicle.
