Pay homage for stealing my style or I’ll remix ‘Putuu’ in four days – Patapaa to Stonebwoy

Hiplife Musician, Justice Amoah popularly known as Patapaa has asked award-winning reggae-dancehall musician Stonebwoy to come and pay homage to him for copying his style in the release of the latter’s hit single track “Putuu”.

According to Patapaa, failure of Stonebwoy to accord him that respect as the originator of what he calls “tongue rap” will force him to release a remix of “Putuu” within four days.

Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has likened the lyrics of his latest single ‘Putuu’ to tongues-speaking after some critics attacked him for his choice of words in his new hit song.

But Patapaa in an interview with Moses Aluebasi on Ejura-based Naagyei FM’s Drive show stated that he wouldn’t have had any issue if it were one of the up and coming artiste rather than Stonebwoy who’s already on top copied his style.

As soon as I veered off from the ‘tongue rap’ style to the new face of highlife Stonbwoy has copied my style because he realizes that, that type of music sells and trends. He should do the honourable thing of coming to show respect to me as the person who introduced that style else I’ll come out with a remix of his song withing four days.”

According to Patapaa, he sees no other musician as his competitor.

I don’t have any musician in competition with me. Initially, I saw Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy as two huge musicians. But after they started copying my style I seized to see them as such. After I came out with “One Corner” Shatta also came out with ‘Shatta-Freedom’ and now Stonebwoy has also copied my style with his ‘Putuu’ song.”
