Building a theatre is my ambition, says Empress Gifty.

Empress Gifty, a gospel musician from Ghana, has stated that her goal for the music business is to one day construct a theatre.

During the Adwuma-Adwuma segment of Onua FM’s Mid-morning Show, Empress Gifty was asked if she was aware that the two major political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), had included the expansion of the creative arts industry in their manifestos. Felicia Osei hosted the show.

She acknowledged that she was unaware of this but underlined that as long as her personal needs—like having access to a studio and having her songs recorded and performed—are satisfied, she is not concerned.

Gifty expressed her desire to construct a state-of-the-art theatre when she had the money. The gospel singer said she might think about leasing it, consulting with an investor, or using the National Theatre as an example.

If I ever get the money or find an investor, my desire is to establish a theatre,” she said.
