The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organised a debate for Parliamentary candidates contesting for the Ejura-Sekyedumase seat in the Ashanti Region.
The debate afforded the contestants an opportunity to sell their messages to the electorates and convince them to get their votes.
Questions on Education, Health, Water, employment, gender, security and agriculture among others, were asked of the candidate.
Parliamentary candidates for the CPP- Adams Hussein, Ghana Union Movement-Timobeng Opoku, and Peoples National Convention – Laari Samuel took part in the debate.
Dignitaries who attended the debate include DSP Philip Kojo Hammond Ejura Police Commander, NCCE boss Mr. Dujing Jacob Japiong, Local council of churches Vice Chairman and chairman for Inter-Party Dialogue committee Mr. Daniel Dapaah, Forestry Commission Manager for Ejura Sekyedumase Mr John Atingah Parker among others.
Ghana goes to the polls on December 7, 2020 to elect a President and 275 Parliamentarians to help govern the country for the next four years.
The elections is expected to be keenly contested between the ruling New Patriotic Party and the largest opposition National Democratic Congress.
