Briefing journalists in Accra on Thursday 28th February 2019 he said: “Government will have the said tapes properly investigated using the raw unedited footage and if any persons are found to have solicited monies or taken bribes to bend rules, the necessary action will be taken.”
The Minister further reiterated that government welcomes any effort aimed at assisting in succeeding in the fight against illegal small scale mining.
Yesterday Tiger Eye PI owned by Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas released a trailer of a latest expose on illegal mining titled “Galamsey Fraud Part 1” which captured some staff and officers of the IMCIM allegedly taking bribes.
