King Promise: I don’t believe Efia Odo intended any harm for Stonebwoy.

King Promise, a Ghanaian Afrobeats sensation, has added his voice to the contentious discussion that has arisen when socialite Efia Odo made comments against Dancehall artist Stonebwoy at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

King Promise defended Efia Odo in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, stating that everyone has the right to express their thoughts.

We are all aware of Efia’s tendency to go all in for something when she feels a certain way. Even before I blew up, I knew Efia. Everyone has an opinion on stuff, so it’s one of those things. And that’s exactly what it was—she shared her thoughts and feelings,” King Promise said on Hitz FM.

He went on to say that Efia Odo had no evil intents. She didn’t even seem to be trying to hurt anyone. I don’t believe she intended harm.”

In addition, King Promise talked about his personal experience with internet criticism, saying that he continues to get harsh remarks about himself.
“Do you know how many times I wake up and see a lot of similar things against me on the internet, even at that same time?”

He also underlined how cutthroat the music business is.

“There is a contest. We are at war, as I have stated. Everyone aspires to triumph. Even though I see a lot of filth when I get up, it won’t stop me.”

Efia Odo caused a stir prior to the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards when she openly supported

Efia Odo apologised to Stonebwoy after the issue, and the two later made amends at the All-Black Party in Kumasi.

Efia Odo and Stonebwoy were seen enjoying the occasion together and giving each other a warm hug in a video that went viral online.
