The individuals who looted a jewellery store in Adabraka are the subject of a manhunt, according to the Ghana Police Service.
This follows the audacious incident that rocked the Adabraka Market this morning.
According to JoyNews, the victim who was a customer of an Accra-based gold jeweller was robbed of more than GHs6 million.
In amateur videos from the incident, stunned locals were seen looking on helplessly.
According to witnesses, the bandits came towards the car brandishing their weapons and immediately fired a number of warning shots into the air to disperse the throng.
As the sound of gunfire echoed across the area, shoppers and vendors hid under market stalls and ran for their lives.
Large bags of cash were taken by the bandits as they pushed their way into the Toyota.
They quickly packed their luggage into their getaway car and left the scene as gunfire erupted into the air.
The police promised in a statement that those responsible would be held accountable.
