A couple has died in an accident at Boniafo, a suburb of Atebubu in the Bono East Region.
The couple and their son who were traveling on a motorbike crashed into a car resulting in their instant death.
While the woman sustained broken legs, her husband had his legs chopped off due to the severity of the crash.
The little boy was rushed to the Atebubu Government Hospital where he’s currently receiving treatment.
Bodies of the deceased couple have been deposited at the morgue.
The Unit Committee Chairman of the Boniafo community, Akwasi Kwarteng in an interview appealed to the Atebubu-Amantim Municipal Assembly Chief Executive Officer and the Member of Parliament for the area to ensure that speed ramps are erected on the road as soon as possible to prevent drivers from overspeeding which causes accidents in the area.
