Boxer Patrick Allotey banned 6 months for assaulting Kotoko fan

The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has banned boxer Patrick Allotey for six months over his assault on a football fan at the Accra Sports Stadium during the Hearts vs Kotoko league match.

The revocation of his professional license takes effect from today Thursday 6th February 2020.

The boxer was caught on camera during the super clash between the two glamourous football teams in Ghana landing a strong jab on the face of a Kotoko fan, Peter Siaw who appeared to be teasing him after his team Accra Hearts of Oak was down.

Allotey’s reprehensible act was roundly condemned on social media with many calling for him to be sanctioned.

He met the Disciplinary body of the GBA on Monday and was found culpable on his own plea after pleading guilty during the hearing.
