The opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) Member of Parliament for Ejura-Sekyedumase Bawa Braimah has filed his nomination forms at the Electoral Commission office to enable him to contest the upcoming December 7, election.
After his forms were scrutinized and accepted by the Commission, Hon. Braimah expressed confidence of retaining his seat at the end of the election.
In an interview with the media, he assured constituents that he’ll prosecute a clean campaign as he’s over the years been known to be a peace-loving person.
He nonetheless stated that comparison of records between him and his closest contender, Salisu Bamba who’s the current MCE will surely come up for debate as they need to be accountable to the people of Ejura-Sekyedumase.
“Currently there’s lack of potable water in Ejura, our water and sanitation system is in a poor state as though there’s no leadership in this area. What I have been been able to do in the past seven years as former MCE and now MP is there for all to see. I’m going to conduct an issue-based campaign. We all know the winner of the Parliamentary election, it’s no other person than myself Alhaji Bawa Braimah.”
