A/R: Passenger severely inured after Policeman fired gun into vehicle

One person sustained serious injuries after a policeman fired a gun into a passenger vehicle at Bantama in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi on Thursday night.

Eye witnesses say the Police stopped the driver at a Police barrier and asked the driver about the absence of a side address which contains name of car owner, weight of car, etc on the vehicle which is mandatory by law for commercial vehicle.

The driver is said to have gotten angry and sped off.

In the process, the Police officer reportedly shot into the passenger side of the vehicle injuring the passenger.

The driver and his mate then got off the vehicle and ran into hiding.

Investigations into the matter continues.
