Anas’ latest exposé will be premiered as planned – AICC Mgt

The Management of Accra International Conference Centre(AICC) says the premiering of Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremyaw Anas latest exposé at the Centre will come off as scheduled.

Tiger Eye P.I. owned by Anas had earlier stated that it had been blocked from screening its new investigative piece on illegal mining titled ‘Galamsey Economy’, at AICC barely 24 hours before the public showing of the exposé.

A statement by Tiger Eye P.I. said, “management of AICC informed Tiger Eye through our agent on Saturday, 12 November 2022, that the venue is no longer available for use on the said dates.”

“Tiger Eye has already fulfilled every requirement of AICC to use the place including payment for the venue despite last minute change in cost by about per cent (30%)”, the release disclosed.

Tiger Eye P.I team was billed to premiere the investigative work on November 14 and 15, 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Accra.

But Management of Accra International Conference Centre says the issue has been resolved and the event is coming on as planned.

“The initial confusion was due to a scheduling conflict at the level of the AICC staff and not in any way a political decision as being speculated,” a statement issued by Vivian K.A Asempa(Ms), Director, Accra International Conference Centre read.

The documentary by Investigative journalist, Anas Aremyaw Anas exposes alleged bribery, and corruption as well as corruption-related offences in Ghana’s fight against illegal mining popularly called galamsey.
