Kumasi based movie producer, popularly known as Paul Gee has said the government must be blamed for the fall of Ghanaian movies.
According to him, both past and present governments have failed to support movie producers financially and also build their capacities as is done for movie producers in other countries.
“No government has ever asked a movie producer to come for a loan to fund movie productions, some of the loans given my MASLOC could have been channeled into movie production but that has never been done.
“The government has not come up with any regulations guiding the movie industry in Ghana to ensure high standards are maintained as is done in other countries. There’s a lot of things lacking in our movie industry here in Ghana and that is not helping to develop the industry,” Paul Gee told host Moses Aluebasi on Naagyei FM’s Entertainment show.
