Full list: Names of MMDCEs released by Local Government Minister

The Minister of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, Dan Botwe has released the much-awaited list of nominees for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).

According to the Minister, the list has been forwarded to the Regional Ministers for the approval process to commence.

“They (Regional Ministers) are going to contact from tomorrow, Regional Directors of the Electoral Commission, get in touch with the Presiding Members of the various Assemblies and start the process of confirming Mr President’s nominees,” Dan Botwe said at a press conference on Sunday.

The Minister roundly condemned protests staged by some party supporters after rumours circulated that some MMDCEs have not been retained.

“Well meaning Ghanaians know that we all are aspiring to serve our motherland and if an opportunity is not given at a particular time for you to serve there cannot be any reason whatsoever, why there should be a disturbance,” he added.
