Heavy security presence in Nkrankwanta as NDC/NPP supporters clash

There’s heavy security presence at Nkrankwanta in the Dormaa West District of the Bono Region following a bloody clash between supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) and opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC).

The clashes occurred at the District Office of the Electoral Commission during the voters registration mop-up exercise.

One person was shot dead with two other sustaining injuries who are currently receiving treatment at the Dormaa Ahenkro Presbyerian Hospital.

Some vehicles were also burnt during that scuffle.

It is not clear what sparked the violence. Police have commenced investigations into the clashes.
