MCE breaks ground for construction of classroom block, Dormitory for Sekyedumase SHS

The Municipal Chief Executive for Ejura-Sekyedumase in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Salisu Bamba has broken the ground for the construction of a six-unit classroom block and a boys dormitory for the Sekyedumase Senior High Technical School.

This comes after some of the students who were moving from the old block of the school to the current campus were involved in an accident sometime back.

According to the MCE, this unfortunate incident got the Municipal Assembly, the School authority and the traditional council to come together to find a solution to the problem which is the construction of the dormitory to house all the boys in one area.

Hon. Salisu Bamba urged the contractor to work assiduously to complete the project on schedule to enable the students move in.

Hon. Salisu Bamba disclosed that funds released last year under the Secondary Education Improvement Projects are being used in the ongoing construction of the school’s fence wall.

He added that this year’s funds will be used in the construction of walkways in the school, beautification and the renovation of old school blocks.

Hon. Bamba added that the Akufo Addo government remains committed to improving education in the country and will do everything possible to ensure all stalled educational projects are completed.
