Ex President Jerry John Rawlings has refuted reports that he has huge sum of money locked up with troubled gold dealership firm, Menzgold.
In a tweet Sunday afternoon, the first President under the Fourth Republic said “…I do not have a stash anywhere to waste on questionable ventures…”
He also urged the under-fire company to respond to the list purporting to be persons who invested with them which has been circulating widely on Social media.
“Shouldn’t Menzgold be reacting to this silly list making the rounds on social media,” he quizzed.
According to the said list, Mr. Rawlings allegedly invested ¢400,000 in Menzgold.
The former leader also raised doubts about other personalities on the purported list who are also said to have invested heavily in Menzgold.
