De-Eye Group has sued investigative Journalist, Manasseh Awuni Azure over the latter’s documentary portraying the entity as a militia.
Joy News’ Manasseh Azure’s investigative piece, The Militia in the Heart of the Nation”, revealed that members of the alleged militia group were being trained at an important state facility classified as a security zone.
The group reportedly has been meeting at the facility for close to two years.
But in a writ filed by De-Eye group in the Accra High Court says the publication is slanderous and defamatory made without any reasonable, just or probable cause.
The group is thus praying the court to award damages to the tune of Ten million Ghana cedis for loss of reputation against the Defendant.
