Nkoranza: NPP man assaults NDC communicator at radio station, party calls for his arrest

The opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) Nkoranza South constituency has called for the immediate arrest of one O.B a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) Communications Team for assaulting an NDC member, Isaac Yaw Ofosu aka Yaw White.

The incident which occurred at Dero FM on Tuesday 1st October 2019 is the second of such attacks suffered by White Ofosu on the hands of some NPP thugs.

The Nkoranza South NDC constituency executives at a press conference over the incident, condmened the destardly act and urged the police to ensure justice for peace to prevail in the constituency.

They also entreated the police to commit to professional and fair policing to prevent others from taking the law into their own hands.

The NDC further demanded that Dero FM take punitive actions against O.B or the party will advise itself.

“We call on Dero FM management as a matter of urgency to apply disciplinary sanction on O.B and also outline security measures for the safety of our radio panelists until then we cannot honour any political invitation. This unprovoked violence against Ghanaian citizen must be condemned and the perpetrator brought to book to avoid reprisal attacks. Nkoranza is a peaceful place hence this shameful attack being executed by the NPP just to cause destabilization should be of great concern to all and sundry.”
