General Constable, Iddrisu Gafaru, one of the five injured police officers who were involved in an accident on the Walewale-Bolgatanga while responding to a distress call has died.
He passed on in the early hours of today, Sunday 31st October 2021.
The deceased cop was one of the three who were airlifted by the Police Administration on Friday, 22nd October to Accra for intensive medical care.
A statement signed by ACP Kwesi Ofori, Director-General of the Ghana Police Service, said the two remaining injured officers are responding positively to treatment.
The Ghana Police Service on October 21, 2001, lost two officers described as highly-trained cops, in a road crash.
The two were part of a five-member Anti-robbery Taskforce responding to an emergency on the Walewale-Bolgatanga road, a police statement said.
