The Power Distribution Services, Ghana has attributed the power outages that occurred in Accra and parts of the country to the massive rainstorm today, March 17, 2019.
According to PDS, the rainstorm uprooted trees and brought down billboards on their distribution conductors, causing interruptions in their distribution system leading to outages.
The Power Distribution Services in a statement urged affected customers to note that their engineers are working assiduously to rectify the faults and restore power supply.
