SHS Gold Track: GES extends reopening date to Nov, 15

The Management of the Ghana Education Service(GES) has extended the date for the reopening of the Senior High School(SHS) Gold Track.

This comes after Management of the Ghana Education Service upon a request from the leadership of Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS), gave approval to extend the mid-semester break from 12th November, 2019 to 15th November 2019.

A release signed by Miss Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of GES Public Relations Unit said.

Students are expected to return over the weekend to ensure that full academic work resumes on Monday 18th November 2019.

“The extension will provide an opportunity for the schools to prepare their facilities before students return,” the statement said.

It further noted:”This directive equally applies to all SHS 1 and 2 students on the Gold Track who were expected to report to school on 12th November, 2019.”

Meanwhile, SHS 3 Students are exempted and would return to school as originally scheduled.
