The Electoral Commission has introduced what it calls queue management system to minimize overcrowding and non-adherence to social distancing at registration centres.
“This will ensure that applicants only visit the centres at the times they are alloted,” a statement by the Commission said.
In addition to this, the Election Management Body disclosed that it has supplied paint to officials to enable them mark the floor and provide 1 metre distance between applicants.
The move comes on the heels of the widespread concerns about the disregard for social distancing at most registration centres.
