The Electoral Commission has urged eligible voters to fully participate in the exhibition of the voters register which is scheduled to commence on Friday 18th September to Friday 28th September 2020.
The exercise which is the last stage in cleaning the register of multiple voters and effecting corrections is has been poorly patronized in previous election seasons.
However, the electoral commission has underscored the importance of the exercise in ensuring the credibility of the voters register. Speaking to the press at the let the citizen know press series, chairperson of the commission Jean Mensah outlined some provisions made to ensure a successful exercise
The chairperson of the Electoral commission jean Mensah also said over 73 000 exhibition officers comprising of key trainers, technicians and COVID 19 ambassadors have been recruited to oversee the exercise which will run simultaneously in all 33, 367 exhibition centres.
She also said the commission has partnered with the Supreme court to assign magistrates to serve as district review officers.
