We mean business; our initiatives not gimmicks – Akufo-Addo to critics

The President Akufo-Addo, has sent a strong signal to his critics informing them that all the policy intervention initiatives his administration is undertaking are not gimmicks but meant to improve on the lives of Ghanaians.

According to the President, the NPP administration meant business that is why they are living no stone unturned to ensure that the One-District-One-Factory, One-Village-One-Dam, One Constituency-One million dollar among other policy initiatives become a reality for all to benefit.

Commissioning Sunda Ghana Limited, a diaper manufacturing company built under the One-District-One-Factory policy initiative at Dunkona in Ngleshi-Bortianor-Amanfro constituency in the Greater Region, Thursday, Nana Akufo-Addo said all the policy intervention initiatives being pursued by his administration are yielding results and changing lives.

He expressed the belief that his relationship with the Chinese President, Xi Jing Peng, will bear fruits for all to benefit.

Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, commenting on the initiative urged critics of the 1d1f policy to join hands with the government by establishing more of the factories in the various districts in the country rather than sitting home and counting how many of the factories have been established so far.

By so doing, he said Ghana will be a better place to live since more of the country’s teeming youth will get jobs to make a living.

The Managing Director of Sunda Ghana Limited, Dong Ming Hu, on his part said his company will continue to expand in Ghana and create more jobs for Ghanaians.

He said so far, his company has invested US$40,000 in phase one of the project, and expressed the hope to invest additional US$15million in phase two of the project.

Sunda Ghana Limited, he noted, is currently employing 800 Ghanaians and hope to employ over 1000 Ghanaians when phase two of the project in completed.
