An aide to the Vice President, Manaf Ibrahim has been removed as Director of Political Affairs at the Vice President’s Secretariat.
A letter from the office of the Vice President and signed by the Secretary to the Vice President, Augustine Blay said:” I have been directed to inform you that your appointment as Director of Political Affairs at the Vice President’s Secretariat has been terminated effective 30th September 2019.”
The letter cautioned that he’s still under the obligation of confidentiality that he signed during his employment.
” Please arrange for the return of all official equipment, property, and documents A your possession.”the dismissal letter said.
Manaf Ibrahim, who had hopes of contesting the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) just ended Asawase Parliamentary primary was disqualified by the party ahead of the election.
Feeling unfairly treated, he then proceeded to court and sued the party placing an injunction on the elections but the party ignored the court’s directive claimng it was never served.
