C/R: Kasoa teenage ‘Killers’ remanded into police custody

The Ofaakor District court presided over by Juliana Rosemond has remanded two teenagers who have been arrested for murdering a 10-year-old boy at Lamptey Mills at Kasoa into police custody.

The suspects are to be held for two weeks and will reappear in court on 20th April 2021 as police continue investigations into the incident.

The duo, Felix Nyarko, 15, and Nicholas Kini, 17, allegedly murdered Ishmael Mensah, a Class Four pupil of the Maranatha School for money ritual on Saturday, April, 3, 2021.

Mr Frank Mensah Abdallah, father of the deceased, in an interview, said he had returned from a trip in the Oti Region and was resting when he was awakened by the sad news that his son had been murdered.

He said he rushed to the crime scene (an uncompleted building) where the suspects had planned to bury his son and saw his lifeless body.

According to Mr Abdallah, his dead son was hit at the back of his head with a stick by the suspects causing him to fall unconscious. The little boy was then hit with a block killing him in the process.

The teenage suspects upon interrogation confessed to killing the boy and revealed that a Ritualist had asked them to provide the body of a young boy for him to perform some rituals to make them become rich.
