Six persons have perished in a gory accident on the Wa-Nadowli Highway.

Also several others are said to be in critical condition after the bloody crash.

The injured included market women and men transporting their produce from Babile market to the Regional capital, Wa.

The accident occurred last night when a DAF truck with registration number GT-776 C, attempted to escape a pothole at a session of the road at Serekpere, but skidded off the road and somersaulted several times.

Starr News’ Upper West Regional Correspondent Morris Banaamwine reports the truck was moving in a police escort when the accident happened.

Medical officers at the Nadowli District hospital say the six lost their lives through severe internal bleeding when they were being dispatched to the facility for treatment.
