Greater Accra Regional Coordinator of the Nation Builders Corps(NABCo), Hajj Baba Mohammed has dismissed claims that NABCo is not paying monthly allowance of trainees.
He said trainees are rather to be blamed for the delay in their stipends.
Beneficiaries say they’re being owed in excess of five months arrears despite calls for them to release their stipends.
According to them, they started complaining as far back as May, but all efforts to get them pay their allowance has yielded no fruits.
Explaining the situation, Baba Mohammed said the hitches were as a result of some beneficiaries who failed to provide relevant information for monthly validation despite sending a reminder.
“The system is such that when you validate against a trainee this month, the subsequent month the files that will come the trainee’s name will not be found on it. You can’t find the name of the trainee in that first batch. It’ll practically come with the second batch.”
