The Ofaakor Circuit Court has ordered Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known in entertainment circles as Funny Face to undergo a psychiatric assessment.
This follows the comedian being arraigned before the court on Monday after he was arrested on Sunday afternoon by the Millennium Police and kept in the police cells
The Presiding Judge, His Lordship Ebenezer Osei Darko in his assessment concluded that answers given Funny Face indicated that he doesn’t have a sound mind.
He consequently directed that the police send Funny Face to the Psychiatric Hospital for him to be evaluated before his next appearance in court in a fortnight.
Funny Face who calls himself the ‘Children’s President’ was first arrested on February 8, 2021, after he fired gunshots at a pub in Kasoa following a misunderstanding between him and the owner of the facility.
After the two were separated, the comedian subsequently stormed the facility with a gun and started firing shots resulting in the duo being arrested.
