Four final year students of the Teshie Vocational and Technical Institute has been expelled from the School over their alleged involvement in an unsanctioned vacation party.
They were reportedly dismissed by the principal after a video tape from the party captured them smoking, drinking alcohol and engaging in indecent conduct.
The affected students have not been able to register for their final examination.
One of the affected students who spoke on condition of anonymity stated that his dismissal is unjustified.
“I was not active in any of the videos, I went there to swim. Moreover I don’t smoke, I don’t drink. She said from the look of things I look like someone who smokes. That’s what she (Principal) told my teacher when I asked why she dismissed me from the school.
“We’ve organized our parents to go and appeal to the Principal to take us back but she has declined. I’ve been at home without attending to classes and I’m in my final year. My plan is to finish this year but the principal keeps delaying us and doesn’t want us to come anywhere near the school,” The worried student said.
Meanwhile, the Principal of the school has not been available to comment on the matter.
