Metro mass transit drivers in Kumasi in the Ashanti region have refused to work over poor conditions of service and the apparent “disrespect” from Management.
Passengers who patronize the Metro mass bus terminal in Kumasi have had to choose alternatives because the drivers have parked their buses embarking on a sit down strike.
The drivers are complaining of poor conditions of service, while they’re also angered by the fact that several of their buses are obsolete and remained unserviceable.
They also complained managers treat the drivers with disrespect causing apathy among the drivers most of whom have been accused of thievery.
