Former President and Founder of the opposition National Democratic Company, J.J Rawlings has urged the party to cultivate the habit of listening to the views of its members to ensure the party remains strong to capture political power in the 2020 general elections.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I have just one sentence message but listen carefully. I can image how we would wish for the spirit of the old days, …is it possible to bring it back?…I hope so, but that can only happen if we cultivate the habit of listening to ourselves. We’ve heard ourselves through the speaker, we’ve read about what we have to say but I want to make an appeal that we listen to ourselves, thank you and God bless you,” the former ,Military ruler told delegates at the NDC 9th National Congress at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra on Saturday.
The congress will elect a National Chairman, National Vice Chairman, General Secretary, Deputy General Secretary, National Organizer and Deputy National Organizer.
