Missing Tarkwa SHS girl found at Kaneshi

The first-year student of the Tarkwa Senior High School who went missing since last Wednesday has been found.

According to DSP Olivia Adiku, the PRO of the Western Regional Police Command, Augustina Ndaago was found at Kaneshie in Accra.

It is not immediately known has she was found.

Meanwhile, the Gender Minister Cynthia Morrison has revealed the prime suspect in the series of  kidnappings in Takoradi in the Western region has started talking to the police.

A Nigerian national who is believed to be the key suspect in police custody, Willis, has refused to speak since his arrest some weeks ago.

However, during a visit to the families of the kidnapped girls, Madam Morison said the suspect is now speaking up and claims the victims are alive.

“I am happy the culprit has started talking, that is what I wanted because I didn’t believe in he will not talk, he has to talk and he is talking. …According to them, he said they are still alive so let’s take it from there, we shouldn’t speculate,” she told the media.

Meanwhile,  the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Deputy Commissioner of Police, Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah, has assured families whose children have been kidnapped in Takoradi that they will soon reunite with them.

DCOP Tiwaa Addo Danquah said this in an exclusive interview with Empire News’ Emmanuel Ohene-Gyan after meeting with all the three families in separate meetings on Saturday January 27th, 2018.

The three (3) girls identified as Priscilla Blessings Bentum, Ruth Quayeson and Priscilla Mantebeah Koranchie were kidnapped between August and December were kidnapped at Kansawrodo, Butumagyebu (BU) and Nkroful respectively in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
