Disgruntled customers of troubled gold dealership firm, Menzgold in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, on Tuesday stormed the offices of the firm in Amakom to protest the non-payment of their monies to them.
The incensed customers numbering hundreds have blocked the road barring access to Adum from Amakom and vice versa, amid burning of car tyres in the middle of the road.
Their action has inconvenienced commuters as they’ve had to use alternate routes.
The customers by their protest have defied the orders of the Ashanti Regional Police Command which had earlier warned them to desist from hitting the streets as the organizers failed to comply with the Public Order Act.
However, the issue has been resolved and the police are providing security for the demonstrators.
