The Western Regional Police Command say they have received new leads for their investigation into the kidnapping of some girls but also call for more information from the public to help speed up the process.
The Police Command also continue investigations to help identify the girls and help reunite them with their families.
The Public Relations officer for the Western Regional Police Command DSP Olivia Adiku in an interview with citinews said ”We are still working around the clock to get some information because though we have been able to arrest him, he has not been able to tell us where exactly these ladies are whether they are in Ghana, whether they are not in Ghana their state of health even as at now we don’t know yet.”
The Western Regional PRO added that ”We are giving the family assurances it is not everything that we can say it out, We are doing a lot of work behind the scenes to really get to the bottom of this issue and certain leads have come up and we cannot just put it on air for security reasons”.
This investigation follows the kidnapping of three girls who were reported missing and suspected to have been kidnapped in the Sekondi/Takoradi metropolis and Effia Kwesimintsim Municipality of the Western Region.
The girls are; Priscilla Blessing Bentum,21, Ruth Love Quayson 18, Priscilla Koranchie 15 years.
Samuel Udoetuk-Wills, a Nigerian suspected to have been involved in the kidnapping of the girls has been arrested and placed in police custody.
