Two persons have died and another in critical condition following a clash between a suspected thief and local task force policing the Ejura Market Saturday dawn.
Reports say the suspected thief resisted arrest when he was accosted by the taskforce who were on the usual night patrols.
In the ensuing scuffle, the suspect inflicted cutlass wounds on a member of the taskforce killing him in the process.
The suspect also died on the spot after sustaining knife wounds when another member of the task force launched a retaliatory attack after realizing his life was in danger.
The Ejura-Sekyedumase Police Commander, DSP Philip Kojo Hammond who confirmed the incident said a member of the taskforce who was seriously injured in the head is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
Bodies of the deceased have been conveyed to the Mampong Hospital morgue for preservation.
