VGMA: New and Young musicians getting nominations impressive – Bessa Simons

Vice President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Bessa Simons says he’s hugely impressed that several young and new artistes have been nominated in the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

According to him, this year’s list of nominees is a marked departure from previous years where the same old musicians were nominated.

This year’s list of VGMA is so refreshing and the competition is going to be beautiful and keenly contested. This year we are seeing a lot of youngsters and new faces competing with the old guys for honours. In the past years we’ve seen the same artistes competing year in year out. Some of these new artists are challenging Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and other popular musicians so this year’s awards will be interesting and special.,” Bessa Simons told Moses Aluebasi on Naagyei FM‘s Entertainment show.

Charterhouse, the organisers of the 20th Edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019 have released the nominees’ list of the upcoming awards scheme.

The organizers of the coveted awards scheme had a constituted Academy Board which shortlisted the various nominations for the year.
