Woman, 33, arrested for attempting to smuggle marijuana, tramadol into prison

The Kumasi Central Prisons has arrested 33 year woman, Gifty Addo for attempting to smuggle marijuana and tramadol package in offals for the inmates in the prisons.

However, vigilance of a female Prisons officer at duty post at the main entrance of the prison’s led to the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect who had her boyfriend Yaw Odum serving three years jailed term for abduction has been selling narcotics drugs for inmates for some time now until her arrest on Wednesday 2rd 2019.

Police search in a concealed transparent rubber bucket containing tomatoes stew and animal intestine, uncovered 13 mini parcels of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis and 10 blister packs of tramadol 225mg.
