AK 47 wielding mask-wearing armed robbers have on Monday afternoon stormed the Nkoranza-Techiman road and have robbed several passengers of their belongings
Fortunately, no casualty has been recorded at the time of filing this report.
The attack happened around Bonsu, leaving about 60 cars parked on the road causing a gridlock.
A motorbike rider who pumped into the robbers ran into the nearby bushes
for his life leaving behind his motor for the robbers.
An eyewitness who spoke to Ejura-based Naagyei FM said the situation has left the terrified passengers in a fix as they fear to continue their journey.
“As I speak to you about 60 cars are parked on the road because the drivers fear to continue the journey lest they fall into the hands of the armed robbers as they’ve taken over the road ahead of us. There are no cars coming from Techiman nor going to Nkoranza as of now, the road is very quiet.”
He added that several distress calls have been placed to the Police but they were yet to respond as of the time of filing this report.
