The Member of Parliament for Ejura-Sekyedumase, Bawah Braimah has donated 100 bags of cement towards the building of a palace for the Chief of Anyinasu.
According to him, his kind gesture is in fulfillment of a pledge he made during the fundraising event that was held to mobilize funds to support the building.
“I pledged to give 100 bags of cement to support the building of the chief’s palace and I’m here to honour my word. If Nana [Chief] and his elders don’t have a good place to stay they’ll be unable to have good dreams about how to develop this town. So as a leader within the municipality I owe it a duty to help provide a decent place for our chief. I know this is not enough, but in due course, I’ll top it up.” He said during the presentation.
He urged the Chief of Anyinasu to periodically invite him[MP] and the Municipal Chief Executive to speak to them to work in unity for the development of the area.
“We are two people serving the nation in this Municipality if one person is bringing development to the area and the other is obstructing the move it will retard development. I’m mindful that my position as MP is transient. Whether we like it or not, one of us will one day be a former MCE, the other will be a former MCE. So you who are our traditional leader should call and speak to us to work together for the good of this area.” Hon. Bawah Braimah added.
The Chief of Anyinasu expressed his gratitude for the donation.
