I’ve not picked Prof. Kwesi Botchwey as Running mate – Mahama

Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) John Dramani Mahama has refuted reports claiming he has selected Ghana’s longest-serving Finance Minister, Prof. Kwesi Botchwey as running mate for the 2020 general election.

The state-owned Graphic.com. published a story headlined ‘Prof. Kwesi Botchey appointed Running Mate to Mahama for 2020 elections.

The website claimed it gathered that Prof Botchwey’s name came up for the appointment at a meeting today – August 19, 2019 – and would be announced later.

But in a Tweet, the former President denied the story.
