Tadi Kidnap: Give us the remains of our Girls – Families demand

Hundreds of aggrieved residents of Takoradi and the families of the four dead girls are demanding the immediate release of the remains of their relatives to them.

In a protest held today that drew huge numbers of sympathizers on the streets, they asked for the immediate resignation of Bryan Acheampong and other top police personnel for allegedly deceiving them.

This comes after the postponement of the demonstration on Monday 23rd September 2019, which was in accordance with the Public Order Act that requires Police be given at least five days notice before the event.

The whereabouts of the four missing Takoradi girls – Ruth Abakah, Ruthlove Quayson, Priscilla Blessing Bentum and Priscilla Koranchie – who were kidnapped between August and December 2018 had become a mystery several months after the issue gained national prominence.

A special police operation led to the discovery and exhumation of the bodies of the three missing Takoradi girls at Kasawrodo in the Western region in August this year.

The bodies were retrieved from a manhole in the house of the main suspect, Samuel Willis.

DNA tests were ran on the remains and the results were confirmed by the Police to be that of the ladies.
